On Monday October 1, 2018, to mark Nigeria's independence day, Lux Terra Leadership Foundation hosted in Abuja a Public Forum on "Religion and the Challenge of Corruption in Nigeria." Gathering together nearly 300 participants at Ibeto Hotel, the Forum considered the contradiction in the life of many Nigerian Christians and Muslims who consider themselves religious, but who regularly indulge in acts of corruption and indiscipline. Among speakers on the occasion are Human Rights Activist Femi Falana, SAN, Prof Abdullahi Shehu, former D.G., Inter Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa, and Idayat Hassan, the Director Centre for Democracy and Development. A booklet on "Nigeria and the Challenge of Corruption in Nigeria" was presented on the occasion by Dr Kole Shettima, the Africa Director MacArthur Foundation, sponsors of Lux Terra's Anti-Corruption Campaign. A soft copy of the new booklet is hereby attached. It is meant for free distribution to as many Nigerians as possible.
