Alive in Christ pulpit. Topic :Overcoming your inertia. Text :John 5:6,8. Our 7th exposition on the healing of the crippled man shows how the power of God can positively relocate a victim of satanic inertia so that he or she can live a meaningful and fulfilled life. Inertia means lack of movement or activity when movement or activity is needed. It is a feeling of not having the energy or desire that is needed to move or change. Newton's first law of motion states that there is a tendency for an object to remain in a state of rest or in uniform motion in the same straight line unless acted upon by some external force. Our text says that the crippled man had been in that condition for a long time, subject to the law of satanic inertia until our LORD, the external and supernatural FORCE,commanded him to get up, pick up his mat and walk. When a superior force, power or authority is at work, the lesser force, power or authority will bow and submit as it happened between Moses and the Pharaoh of Egypt. It's high time all of us overcame our different inertias through the power of the Most High God and enter into a new phase of life which fulfills the glorious purpose of our creation. When the law of satanic inertia was broken, the crippled man left the stigmatized association of the great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered(v3) and moved on into meaningful life. In the same way I declare that you get up from your inertia of barrenness, sickness, poverty and sin in the name of our LORD Jesus. You must leave where satanic inertia has kept you for a long time now in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ. Have faith in God's word and rise up now in JESUS' name. It is natural that Satan must submit to God and it must be so in our lives, no argument. Get up and go in the right direction of success, victory, righteousness and fulfillment.
